The Marshmallow Test

Marshmallow Test is an experiment used to explain the concept of delayed gratification led by psychologist- Walter Mischel. The experiment revolves around a group of children being offered a choice between a small reward being provided immediately or bigger reward being offered if the child chose to wait for 15 minutes during which the tester left and later returned to the room. Rewards were offered in form of marshmallows, cookies, sweets etc.

There is so much more to what causes people to do what they do, there are so many factors which motivate us.
