How Oprah Winfrey Changed Her Life Through This Magical Habit

Oprah Winfrey is one of the most iconic and recognized media person in the world today. With a net worth of USD 2.8 billion, this prolific lady has been an advocate of power of practising gratitude for years. She has maintained a gratitude journal for more than a decade now- but how has this helped her succeed?

The secret in her climb to success lies in the fact that this habit of maintaining a gratitude journal gives one happiness. Once your inner self is at peace, you ‘feel’ happy –  by the virtue of positive vibes you attract good energy towards yourself and you radiate the same emotion. The world around you transforms because you step out in search of things to be grateful for and all of a sudden you would observe something would always show up!

Inculcating this habit can be challenging especially when life gets choatic with priorities, commitments and tasks to manage. As we get more engrossed in the pursuit of more wealth, more possessions, more responsibilities- more of everything, we lose the joy of simple moments. We lose sight and stop being grateful for having the ability to be able to do things in life, our achievements get measured on a scale of difficulty. We run in so many directions that we stop feeling anything and instead lose our sense of being thankful.

Successful people have one habit in common- they are grateful and they note things down for which they are thankful. Small things start to make a difference and it eventually leads in the shift of mindset and life becomes more rewarding.  Here are Oprah Winfrey’s 5 most relatable quotes on pracitising gratitude:

Oprah’s 5 Quotes on Gratitude:

Morning Gratitude:

‘Every morning when I open my curtains for that first look at the day, no matter what the day looks like—raining, foggy, overcast, sunny—my heart swells with gratitude. I get another chance’

 Seeing Glass Half Full

‘I live in the space of thankfulness — and for that, I have been rewarded a million times over. I started out giving thanks for small things, and the more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased. That’s because — for sure — what you focus on expands. When you focus on the goodness in life, you create more of it.’

Grateful for Every Minute

Being grateful all the time isn’t easy. But it’s when you least feel thankful that you are most in need of what gratitude can give you: perspective. Gratitude can transform any situation. It alters your vibration, moving you from negative energy to positive. It’s the quickest, easiest most powerful way to effect change in your life — this I know for sure’

 Exhilarated Contentment

‘I live in a state of exhilarated contentment (my definition of happiness), fueled by a passion for everything I’m committed to: my work, my colleagues, my home, my gratitude for every breath taken in freedom and peace. And what makes it sweeter is knowing for sure that I created this happiness. It was my choice.’

 Experience is a Valuable Teacher

‘Wherever you are in your journey, I hope you, too, will keep encountering challenges. It is a blessing to be able to survive them, to be able to keep putting one foot in front of the other — to be in a position to make the climb up life’s mountain, knowing that the summit still lies ahead. And every experience is a valuable teacher.’

    Hello ,

I saw your tweets and thought I will check your website. Have to say it looks very good!
I’m also interested in this topic and have recently started my journey as young entrepreneur.

I’m also looking for the ways on how to promote my website. I have tried AdSense and Facebok Ads, however it is getting very expensive.
Can you recommend something what works best for you?

Would appreciate, if you can have a quick look at my website and give me an advice what I should improve: http://janzac.com/
(Recently I have added a new page about FutureNet and the way how users can make money on this social networking portal.)

I have subscribed to your newsletter. 🙂

Hope to hear from you soon.

    Regards
    Jan Zac

      Jan,
I have just visited your blog. My advice to you is personalisation. The message above is very generalized and didn’t really catch my attention.
I also use comment section to built backlinks through other blogs. But I make sure that I read their articles and add some valuable comments before pitching my blog or agenda. You have to make sure every message you leave in comment section is highly personalized.
