  1. Happy Film (2016)

This documentary captures the efforts of Grammy- winning graphic designer Stefan Sagmeister at finding happiness. Despite being successful, the story narrates how Sagmeister was clearly not happy and relied at length on 3 measures to alleviate his depression: meditation, therapy and drugs. The charm of the movie lies in how ‘real’ and ‘relatable’ Sagmeister’s character feels and how he recounts on his experiences of failing at therapy and his fallout with drugs. Time and again the idea of Sagmeister being happy when he is engrossed in his craft is reinforced. This idea resonates- why? Because truly, if we end up choosing the work we love, we will not feel tied, bonded or compelled anymore. In fact, we will be willingly investing 80 hours a week working for ourselves to avoid working 40 for someone else.
